Born in Southport then moved to Collier Row, Romford. After a few years, moved to Rise Park, Romford.

Went to Ilford Ursuline and after A Levels studied at Digby Stuart College Roehampton Institute to become a teacher. First post Sept 1984, Convent of Jesus and Mary Infant School, Willesden. Living in Brondesbury Hall hostel accomodation.

Born in Doncaster, lived in America for a few years then returned to Doncaster. Went to Intake High School until leaving to become a welder. Worked for the Coal Board until starting teaching at Doncaster Tech in 1978. Studied for a Cert Ed at Huddersfield Poly then taught in FE at Cambridge (80-84) until moving to London to teach at Brondesbury & Kilburn High School, January 1985. Living in Brondesbury Hall hostel accomodation.
